County Planning & Development Commissioner Kealy Salomon Retires This Week

Poughkeepsie Following more than 31 years of dedicated public service, Dutchess County Commissioner of Planning & Development Kealy Salomon will be retiring this Friday, April 25th.  The Dutchess County Department of Planning & Development will host a retirement reception for Ms. Salomon tomorrow (Thursday, April 24th) at the Department’s offices at 27 High Street in Poughkeepsie from 3pm to 5pm.

Two Dutchess County Government Honorees at Annual 40 Under 40 Awards

Poughkeepsie… When the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce hands out the 9th Annual Shaker Awards tonight, honoring the top 40 people under forty years old, two of Dutchess County Government’s own will be among them.

Dutchess County Celebrates Earth Day with Improved Recycling Rate

Poughkeepsie… The Dutchess County Division of Solid Waste Management has released its 2013 Annual Summary in celebration of Earth Day, April 22nd.  The summary provides an update on Dutchess County’s recycling rate, amount of waste generated last year, as well as an overview of activities and accomplishments as related to the County’s “Rethinking Waste” Local Solid Waste Management Plan.
